Developmental and Advanced—”Getting Ahead” (Grades K-12)

Remedial (Grades K-12)
  • If your child needs to catch up, Windsor House can help. We start with an assessment that identifies the skills your child needs for reading success. An individualized program is then developed for your child - one that will efficiently move them to grade level and beyond. Results have shown increases of over 4 grade levels in 1 year!
Speed Reading (Grades 3-college)
  • Power Reading and Study Skills is designed to teach your child how to succeed, read faster with comprehension (speeds often double), get assignments done quickly, and achieve better grades. As success builds, Motivation increases! Students are taught the best way to improve research skills, study textbooks, take notes, summarize, prepare for tests and build vocabulary - benefits for a lifetime!

Writing

Communication—Success for the 21st Century (Grades 2-12)
  • Power Communications is a system for thinking, writing, and public speaking success. As your child learns to organize his or her thinking, writing, and speaking, reports, essays and public speaking will become easy and effective. As knowledge of grammar increases, written and oral vocabulary builds, giving security for clear communication.

Power Mathematics

Remedial, Developmental, Advanced

Test Preparation

SAT, PSAT, Stanford Achievement Test, and STAR Tests
  • Your child can achieve higher scores on standardized tests such as the SAT, PSAT, Stanford Achievement Test, and STAR Tests used for entrance into some of the most prestigious schools. Students learn test-taking strategies, such as: how to tackle the questions, pacing and timing, test-taking rules, relaxation techniques, and how to prepare for tests. In addition students are taught the specific skills on which the questions are based, thus, gaining the basic skills and knowledge necessary to improve scores on tests. Students use real SAT tests as part of their preparation.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
