Five Star Tutors Summer Program Presents a Variety of Courses
Courses in Reading, Writing, Spelling and Grammar, Math, and Spanish. See Course List below for descriptions. The extremely successful Regular School Year Program is also available. All courses are available for ELD / ESL / ELL and students whose second language is English.
Great Flexibility in Times and Courses To Fit Your Busy Schedule
Classes are 1 hour long and are scheduled at hourly intervals from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. You can register in as many classes as you want. For example, a student can take any 3 courses from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please Note: We are unable to supervise lunch break from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

The Summer I Became a Math Genius
Number theory and fun tricks to becoming a Math Genius.
Grades K - College.
Course Availability: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m.
The Math IQ Detectives
Number and logic puzzles - fun activities that advance math.
Grades 2 - College.
Course Availability: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m.
Spiffy Spelling & Super Syntax
Old Words for New Words - A Power Vocabulary and Public Speaking Seminar. Vocabulary power through writing, based on, “What you know, what you need to know, and what you learned.”
Grades 2 - College
Course Availability: 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m.
The Mental Muscles of Writing
Academic Writing, Creative Writing and Timed Writing. Includes STAR and SAT skill development.

Quick Start Early Reading Program
Starts at age 4 1/2 and can continue in the Fall. Ensure your child’s Reading and Kindergarten success. An Exceptional Phonics System has been used for hundreds of students in the past and has always been successful!
Grades pre-K and K
Course Availability: 9 a.m., 1 p.m.
I Speak Spanish - Level 1
Easy conversation, vocabulary, reading, correct pronunciation.
Grades K - College.
Course Availability: Scheduled per arrangement.
Regular School Year Program
The Regular School Year Program is based on a student evaluation and/or parent’s request and preference.
